Julie Fulcher-Davis grew up in the small town of Enon, just south of Chesterfield, VA before heading to Shenandoah University to pursue her degree in Theatre. She cut her acting teeth while in high school by getting involved in community theatre. After attending Shenandoah University she furthered her training in New York City pursuing a life in professional theatre. Each step of following her dream eventually led her closer to the place called home where she continues her professional career as an accomplished actor, voice over artist, director, playwright, and composer. Fulcher-Davis is also an artist in residence/adjunct professor at the University of Richmond. In the scope of her numerous acting laurels, among her favorites are Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie, The Witch in Into the Woods, Charity in Sweet Charity and the one woman show The Search for Intelligent Signs of Life In The Universe. Julie’s work as a playwright/composer is heard throughout the nation with VaRep’s touring company with such works as The Real Story of Pocahontas, and One Appalachian Christmas. Her musical Company of Angels had a World Premiere at Richmond Triangle Players. Julie is a member of Actors Equity and The Dramatist Guild. She is thrilled to continue her journey in the Arts as the Artistic Director of The Illuminated Stage.
